Mother donates kidney to her son, Helldorado Days donates $5000 to help with medical bills |

This Saturday, January 30, at the Sunrise Arena, 661 N Sloan, Las Vegas, NV from 9 am until late the family is holding a fundraiser and rodeo to help offset costs associated with Daniel’s treatment and kidney transplant. The one day event will have barrel racing, pole bending, breakaway roping, ribbon roping and dummy roping. There will be a silent auction. Members of Elks Lodge 1468 will also be on hand to donate time putting on the event Saturday. Helldorado Days is an outdoor community event celebrating Las Vegas’s tribute to the Wild West. The local event is produced by the Benevolent and Protective Order of the Elks Lodge No.1468 and the purpose is to produce a great show for fans and give the proceeds back to the local community through children’s and veterans charities. “We are proud to be able to give this gift to the Reymore family. The Reymore family has strong ties to Helldorado Days going back 3 generations. Daniel’s aunt, Cassie McErlean was a Helldorado Days queen and both David and Cassie volunteered their time with handicapped children during the event. Daniel’s grandfather Dave Reymore, Sr, rode broncs and bulls at the show. Everyone is invited to celebrate Las Vegas Helldorado Days by entering the annual community parade to be held Saturday evening, May 15, in downtown Las Vegas. This year marks the 105th anniversary of the founding of Las Vegas, an event central to the parade theme. The parade is watched every year by thousands of people lining the parade route, and will be broadcast live by Cox Communications on cable channel 96 and streamed online at www.Cox96.net. KCLV-TV 2 will re-broadcast the parade in the following days. A fireworks show will be launched from the Fremont Street Experience parking garage immediately after the parade.
The parade is scheduled from 7 to 9 p.m., starting at Fourth Street and Gass Avenue. Community groups, businesses and individuals are encouraged to plan their floats and entries early. Car and motorcycle clubs, marching bands, and other performing groups are invited to apply and participate. There is no fee to enter the parade, but entrants must submit an application no later than April 25. Applications are available on the city Web site at www.lasvegasnevada.gov and from the city of Las Vegas Office of Cultural Affairs at 401 S. Fourth St., Suite 180.
Entrants are encouraged to be creative in reflecting the traditional western heritage theme of past Helldorado Days, what they think Helldorado Days should mean now, and/or the birthday of the city of Las Vegas in their entries. Each parade entry will be announced at the reviewing stand and judged on appearance, theme and creativity. Winners will be notified after the parade. Costumes, entries and performances should be appropriate for a family audience. Entries with live animals must provide their own clean-up crew for droppings. In order to move down the parade route, floats must not exceed 14 feet in height or 20 feet in width.

Helldorado Days organizers give back over $75,000 to local community charities |

(Las Vegas, NV) –Helldorado Days is an outdoor community event celebrating Las Vegas’s tribute to the Wild West. The local event is produced by the Benevolent and Protective Order of the Elks Lodge No.1468 and the purpose is to produce a great show for fans and give the proceeds back to the local community through children’s and veterans charities. Due to the success of Las Vegas Helldorado Days last May, the members of Elks Lodge No. 1468 have given back over $75,000 in 2009 and over $4 million to the community since 1935.
Helldorado Days which began in 1935, is the longest running civic event in the history of Las Vegas. With over 45,000 people in attendance, Helldorado Days offers a 4 day pro rodeo, a parade, carnival, Sahara Coins Helldorado Days $10,000 treasure hunt for gold, whiskerino contest, golf tournament, poker tournament, art show and auction, trail ride, exhibits and food. Just 2 blocks from the Fremont Street Experience, downtown is transformed into Helldorado Days. Helldorado Days is a non-profit community event, managed by 1 paid staff member and hundreds of volunteers.

Las Vegas Helldorado Days organizers hire Reno marketing firm to increase exposure in 2010 |

(Las Vegas, NV) – Helldorado Days organizers announced today that they have hired Synergy Communications, a firm specializing in marketing, public relations and social media marketing of western lifestyle events, to help increase sponsorships and drive ticket sales for the upcoming 2010 Helldorado Days event.
“We are very excited to have Synergy Communications on our team,” said Duane La Duke, Executive Director, Helldorado Days. “Helldorado Days is a tribute to the history of Las Vegas and we are committed to its continued growth. The community really supports it and it allows us to continue making contributions to the local children’s charities and veteran’s programs that the Las Vegas Elks supports.”
The Reno based Synergy Communications, a marketing and public relations firm, has a great history of assisting clients with increasing sales and exposure for their businesses. They have worked closely with the Reno Rodeo, the fourth largest professional rodeo in the country, over the past nine years managing marketing, media relations and implementing social media marketing programs. Synergy Communications has worked with the PRCA, PBR, Wrangler National Finals Rodeo and Flying U Rodeo Company on event marketing and media relations. Synergy Communications was instrumental in the development and marketing of the Nevada “Rodeo State” license plate which raises money for the charitable Reno Rodeo Foundation and the Nevada High School Rodeo Association.

A carnival, childrens activities, a western village, food and music will be located at Cashman Field, 850 N.
